Charity Begins at Carlton Clubs
Carlton Clubs • September 16, 2026
We’ve always taken the opportunity to raise money for charity, and over the summer our clubs have been very busy arranging various challenges to raise money for Variety The Children’s Charity.
Several activities have taken place ranging from swimming in the dark to walking 500 miles and a significant amount of money was raised. Here’s a list of what took place:
- Dalkeith did an ice bucket challenge.
- Dunfermline had a night-time Loony Dook in the freezing waters of the Firth of Forth.
- Elgin and Stirling arranged a 500-mile walk, where all the clubs took part via treadmill to hit the distance goal.
- The management team from Livingston spent a whole day running on a treadmill.
- George from Partick climbed Tinto Hill.
- Carlton Bingo held a charity golf day, where suppliers and industry colleagues joined in.
In total, we raised just under £8,000 and we're overwhelmed by the generosity of customers and the hard work that our staff put in across our Bingo Clubs all over the country. We’ll continue to raise money for worthy causes.
Here’s a few pictures showing the various teams in action.
